By Deborah Mitchell

Ninety percent of the brain has developed in the first five years of a child's life. This is something that will stand out at a later stage should parents and teachers or carers have taken advantage of the early years. It is vital to know how to stimulate the brain during early childhood development Astoria.

During the first five years, 90% of the brain has developed, so one has to stimulate the various areas of this. This would include the right and left hand sides. This is why preschools and daycare centers are encouraged. Teachers and carers are fully trained and many are experienced. They know the best way to stimulate the brain by introducing activities into the day.

It is not only reading and playing or other such activities that make a difference. One should focus on the basics first of all. This can come down to giving affection and comfort. This can make a huge difference in the person as a whole. One doesn't always think that this will affect the adult, but it definitely does cause changes.

It has been proven that kids who have the advantage of this type of stimulation will improve their chances of success later on in life. This will include emotional attributes as well. During the first years, they should be aware of a mother and their comfort and affection. This will help them to be more confident of themselves and loving. It will increase the bond and they will have less problems with relationships.

It has been proven that when kids are stimulated like this, they are more disciplined, and they are able to get into a more structured routine. People may argue that this is something which not everyone is able to afford. While this may be true, there are programs, which kids can attend and this will help them in future years.

Most toddlers will only go to a center for a few hours, unless both parents work all day and they need after care facilities. During this time, kids will take advantage of the professional skills and gifts that the teacher or carer has. Besides this, they are loving and caring people by nature. Activities will include something creative as well as logical games and puzzles.

It is important to learn about the parts of the brain that help you stay organized. You will learn more about making decisions and choices. Obviously these are minor in the early years, but it is almost like training which lead up to more serious challenges which one will face up to.

It has been proven that kids who are exposed to a situation like this from a young age are more disciplined and organized at a later stage. Of course, it is also up to the parents to do their part. Social skills can be enhanced when parents organize play dates.
